I am beginning to think Cornwall has run this series to the limit. The plot was disjointed; it came together in an improbable series of coincidences and the characters have become so strange (Lucy, Marino) that it's hard to care about them anymore. Cornwall assumes her readers by now are familiar with medical jargon (or at least have a medical dictionary at hand) to advance the plot. Still, I can see where true fans will like the story.
