First book by this author and I ended pleasantly surprised. The first two chapters did not grab me and I was confused and not pulled in yet. The back story to even understand the characters wasn't given till later in the book which was frustrating, would have made the story a lot better to understand it at the beginning. Even though many of her main characters seems to be named after someone the author knows (based on the dedication) it was awful trying to remind myself the ENTIRE story how to pronounce Kajsa's name (Ky-suh for those who don't want to continually flip back to page 27 the whole book like me). I was also really irritated by Emma for at least the first half of the book-her whole I don't need a man EVER was getting really annoying, especially for how highly she thought of her brother. The lemonade/sugar references throughout the book got tiring as well. If you can get past the first 53 pages or so the story isn't bad and I don't usually like present day romance stories but this one eventually pulls you in-I finished it in less than 5 hrs with interruptions so it goes pretty fast. The scene on pg 142-143 had me laughing long and hard and really improved the second half of the book. I would read from the author again.
