Hard to explain what I loved about this book but I guess it is the slightly off kilter people/places.

I love Criminy. He's just off enough. The whole set up of this story reminds me of other favorite books/places/people. Some of those are Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland and little Gene Wilder from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. There is a bit of steampunk with clockwork creatures and vampires (bludmen).

The ending was not exactly HEA but struck me as the more realistic compromise that two reasonable adults who love each other would come to (realistic in the "reality" of the book:lol:)
Really am looking forward to the next in the series "Wicked As She Wants" in 2013.
