Lady Catriona, an Earl's daughter, becomes estranged from her father and goes to Scotland to care for her elderly cousin. When the cousin dies, she leaves Catriona as a housekeeper to her relative and neighbor, Sir Michael, in her will. Sir Michael, a widower for many years, does not want Catriona messing about organizing his life but he's secretly been attracted to her for a long time. Catriona has embarked on this plan to force Sir Michael to declare his love but he determinedly maintains he's too old for her. When his two grown daughters rush to Scotland to save their father from the "scheming" housekeeper, things heat up.
Very good. Both main characters are strong. I didn't give it a full five stars because I think it's always a little unbelievable that an adult will find about a ten year age difference too much to overcome and because the horrible family estrangement between Catriona and the Earl were too easily overcome at a convenient time in the storyline.
