This is not the best low-carb slow cooker cookbook out there. I was very disappointed in it. It doesn't stand up well against Dana Carpender's 200 Low-Carb Slow Cooker Recipes.
The introductory pages are sparse and not noteworthy. I was not impressed with the recipes. The recipe for boiled eggs was just too much. The sidebar mentions that you want to use white shelled eggs because their whites will turn light brown in the recipe, but the whites of dark shelled eggs will get a deeper tan, which may be unappetizing. Excuse me, but light brown egg whites are unappetizing! They're egg whites! Such lack of care for ingredients made me put down this book.
