Just married last month, I'm happy to share this book with other brides and grooms who would like to avoid becoming Bridezillas or spending the equivalent of 5 house down payments on their wedding day.

I highly recommend Meg Keene's blog, apracticalwedding.com, for lots of specific practical tips. In general, I find the blog to be more crafty-DIYish than practical, but it's still four zillion times more practical than the average bridal magazine or Web site like The Knot, which will cause stress by convincing you that you have to invest in a zillion useless decorative tchochkes or your day will be ruined!

The web site is a better resource than the book, but the book is a good grounding in an overall mindset that will keep you sane during your wedding planning. It's the only wedding planning book I'd ever recommend.
