I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, and had a different story line, since it takes place during the Depression and involves circus life. The main character, Jacob Jankowski, was very likeable.

I'm not sure about starting the story at the end (if you read, you'll understand) and I think that was a technique that was unnecessary and did not add anything ot the narrative for me.

I did enjoy the use of the point of view of Jacob when he is old and looking back on it all.

Highly recommended book. Great story, author with a wonderful voice, I was sucked in from the get go.
