As my grand-kids and I have followed each of the books in this series, we have each found the books to be "addictive" and enjoyable. Draven's Defiance, as the other books, takes a "Narnia-like" approach to re-telling true stories from the Bible. Once again, Paul McCusker managed to make the story of Elijah come alive in a parallel story using an average 20th century child as an active participant.
