Grieving for her dead husband, Robyn Peltier moves to Los Angeles to take a job as a PR consultant. But when her client is murdered, Robyn finds herself as the prime suspect. Running for her life, the bodies are piling up around her. Only her friend, Hope Adams and Hope's boyfriend, Karl, seem to be on Robyn's side. Hope and Karl work to keep Robyn safe, but two Otherworld races and a police detective are hunting for her.

This story kept me glued. Even though I'm not a fan of Hope Adams, I liked how she would do anything to keep her friend safe. It was nice to see a human take front and center in one of these books, even though she didn't understand what was going on around her. And, I really liked the inclusion of Detective John Findlay. I hope we see him working with the Council in future books. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
