This book looked really good in the bookstore; I am a big fan of Jacqueline Winspear and Dorothy Sayers, and I like stories set in that era between the World Wars. However I couldn't get interested in this one. It felt too modern, too watered-down, and the prose was too simplified to reflect that era. After 50 pages I skipped to the end and even that didn't interest me much.
