Hard to know how to review this book--

Patterson is better writer than this one shows, or maybe Paetro wrote it?

I am trying to gather a 'set' of books for a young reader but I don't know where this one falls: not for under 14 at least and even 14 might be too young depending if you want them to read about a Dad sleeping with his son's girlfriend or a Mom having a lesbian affair(spoilers, sorry)

I don't plan on keeping this one or trying for the 'set' to come out, it just isn't that good and the family is portrayed as cold and unfeeling and makes it very hard to like this family at all and you get to the end without really knowing much about them but that they are standoffish and cold.
