I've read almost all of Nicholas Sparks' books and enjoyed them all, thoroughly. This one, though, is a bit different from the others in that the entire story is told in a flashback. This kind of spoiled it for me...I would have rather not known what happened at the end before hearing the beginning. The story is beautiful, though, true to his amazing ability to create romance, yearning, and heart-wrenching situations.
