Main character is a poet, travel writer and gourmet cook (there are some recipes in the book). She ends of buying a villa in Tuscany. Per USA Today - "This beautifully written memoir about taking chances, living in Italy, loving a house and, always, the pleasures of food, would make a perfect gift for a loved one. But it's so delicious, read it first yourself."
I have not read the book myself, but have seen the movie (loved it) that is based on it - "Under the Tuscan Sun", starring Diane Lane.
