Written by one of the South's great writers, Souther Living said, "A zany tale about old folks and those who love them...Honor and respect abide in this gentle tale of the twilight time."
For me, one of the most enjoyable aspects of the book is that so much of the story is told through the viewpoint of Carl, the adult nephew of his Aunt Lil, a new resident of the nursing home called Rosehaven, home and/or worksite of a charming collection of oddball Southern characters whom Carl and Lil learn to love.
