This is a board book in an ocean theme that reinforces basic 1-2-3 counting for babies/toddlers. The pages show one part of the animal like one nose, then two parts like two eyes before finally showing three of the whole animal this configuration is set up with lift-a-flaps. I like that you can encourage the child to try to guess from the initial picture clues what animal it is. The flaps make this book hands on. There are fish, sea horses, whales, turtles and scuba divers depicted. Great for an ocean unit or a visit to the beach!
