Do you ever feel that boys and young men are hard to connect with? Like the things they are facing and the trials or temptations are something that you may never really understand? Especially as a female it is hard to comprehend the struggles that a young man faces in this world today. We often try to see things through their eyes and yet often fail. That is where a book like this comes in handy. It is for the young man to read for himself, and maybe even with a father figure, to discuss and see guidelines, wisdom from one father to his son and how others have handled situations that arise. I found Killing Lions to be intriguing in how it was written from the perspective of a son who is searching for answers on how to live life. He goes to his father and talks over the phone and thus this book was brought to life.

I literally had to steal this book from my dad who picked it up the minute it came in. He has a penchant for taking books that deal with issues like this for young men. After all, he has two boys himself and no matter what is learned, there is always more out there. This book covers everything a young man will encounter from the time he leaves college to getting a job, finding his true value, dating and relationships, finances, etc. This truly is a book that would be good to give any young man or even the father of a young man. It is all about helping your boys become the men they were destined to be.

This is written in a unique format. The son talks and it is written in italics and when the father speaks it is in regular type. That way you see what the father is asking, the wisdom h imparts and how he brings certain issues up. This is all done in a loving but honest manner. Again, this would make an awesome gift for the holidays! Purchase a copy and sign it to your son, then read and discuss it together!! There is nothing more important than how they grow up to become men.

"You're going to be okay. You're going to find your way. You are not alone."

"I believe you young men are the warrior generation that this world needs."

I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. All thoughts are 100% mine.
