This is book 7 in the high fantasy Kencyrath series, new readers must start at the beginning with God Stalk. Good action, nice pacing but pay attention as there are a lot of time shifts between the present and Tori's past as a young man in Kothifir. There's still very little forward movement for the subplot about the Tyr-ridan, although it does look like Kindrie will be close by Tori now. Some fun bits with a town that can only be visited in the past, and what happened to it. Jame's relationships with the other lordan are jelling nicely. I liked that Graykin is back too.
