Marty heads west with her husband, only to lose him. She marries a kind widower in name only with the promise of a home and passage back east in the spring in exchange for looking after his young daughter. This is the first of an 8 part series that has since been made into some movies. This is a Christian romance. One of my favorite books of all times, and now one of my favorite authors.
