In my opinion one of John Grisham's better books. Brief review is of an extremely wealthy man whose has spent his life gathering power and wealth around him at the expense of his private life. Having gone through 3 wives and having had several children by these wives all of him despise him and carry heavy baggage and all of them anxious for his death so they can have access to his wealth. But the old gentlemen despises them and true to form screws them all in the end but that is just where the story starts. The estate is the prize and thus let the games begin.
