Gina Van Cleve falls in love with a vicious fortune hunter. Her mother, a renowed shipowner and builder is desperate to save her daughter so she sends the daughter to spend time with an uncle in Rome. While in Rome she meets Alex Saxton while in a a brothel and the next time she sees him she is one of the virgins being sold to the highest bidder and be wins her but not for long. Four years later Alex meets Gina again in London where she is a woman intent on becoming a success in a mans world. However he is set upon revenge and he is determined to have her stopping at nothing.
