In general I find the PCU books entertaining. This was a little too long, and I found the delusions experienced by Arthur uninteresting and boring (they have nothing to do with the plot and like books that go on for pages detailing someone's dreams, I found them skippable.) The plot is pretty convoluted and I think I would have given up before Part II starts around page 300 if I hadn't already learned to enjoy the company of many of the characters in previous books. Not in the top 5 of the series (my favorite remains The Water Room.)
