I love Beth Ciotta's books and thought Book 1, Her Sky Cowboy was great but His Clockwork Canary was a little slow for me. I'm not sorry I read it and I will definitely read Book 3 but I felt like it drug on in places and wasn't as exciting as Book 1, although it did get better toward the last third of the book. I wish I could be more definitive in this review but I just can't. I don't mind saying a book is bad if it is bad but this didn't fall in that category. Overall I think I just had high expectations for it after waiting so long and it was a let down. Others may not feel this way.
