Another ho hum story
Jo husband left her over a year ago and she can't move her life forward (I don't think there was an investigation about him missing), she keeps 'seeing' him everywhere and 'talking' to him while other people look at her curiously yada yada
So her friend Louise talks her into getting away and try house sitting for someone, so while Jo is scanning websites she spots a living room in one house that she is sure as pictures of her husband on the mantel, so of course she is accepted as the house sitter
So now she has to discover what the house owner and her husband are doing together, again yada yada
She meets a friendly neighbor, Simon, and again yada yada
So the story drags along with nothing happening or hints or anything, and I have to start skimming pages to get to something to move it along, that doesn't come until about the last 1/3 of the book and really it's the last couple chapters that gives the full story
This is not good writing or good story telling, it is more boring and draggy than anything so if you start it and get bored just flip to the last couple chapters and get the whole story and then decide if you like the ending or not---I didn't
