Tamer Myers books are so much fun to read. As in her other series, the heroine is down to earth, with lots of background characters to add spice to the mystery. The Den of Antiquity series is a "laugh-out-loud" read.

North Carolina native Abigail Timberlake, owner of Den of Antiquity antique store, is quick to dismiss the seller of a hideous old vase -- until the old lady comes hurtling back through her shop window, the victim of a hit and run and the vase turns out to be genuine "Ming Dynasty" vase and disappears. Her own eccentric mama's credentials help her gain access to the Daughters of the Confederacy who just happne to also want the vase, but digging into the long-festering secrets of the Old South might just land Abby six feet under in the family plot.
