I really enjoyed the interactions between the main characters - funny & real. At first I thought this was part of her other paranormal series because lots of the crystal talk and weapons seemed familiar. Now I see that it is Book 1 of a new series. I felt like I had started in the middle of something, but am guessing that there will be a trilogy with Sam's siblings as the main characters. I'm reading for the love story more than the paranormal elements, which honestly are sometimes a little distracting for me. Still, Sam and Abby are a great pair and I look forward to catching glimpses of them in future books.
