While I liked the writing style and way of describing I just wanted to like this much more than I did by the end.
First, I rarely hate a character and I hated Christie. Like, I just could not understand her nefarious purpose (even in a parable sort of way).
And then there was the way Eric's life progresses much speedier than Tommy's.
And then the end, like what the literal hell? I sit with your two fortunate sons like that, one you want to hug the whole time and one you want to slap the whole time, and then you build me up to this Abominable Snowman (again . . .) and leave me there this time?
Full of double crossings and graphic sex that didn't fit with the rest of the tone. Just.plain.weird.
