This is a good book to keep nearby, around, accessible. It's filled with caring and thoughtful ideas - some of which are not terribly new, but all of which serve as a reminder to actually show how we feel about loved ones - and that is this book's real strength.
Although written for romantically-challenged men, I have used some of the suggestions for my husband, and many of the suggestions and tips are perfect for anyone.
For example, there are entries about writing messages on the bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker or outdoors with mini holiday lights, and another about mailing a note ahead to the loved one's destination, be it work, camp, etc.
Any of those ideas, and many more, are effective ways to show love for parents, children and even friends having a tough time.
Keeping the book close at hand is like having a string around a finger; it's a reminder to put care and appreciation into action - and to have creative fun with the process.
