Loved this book!! I'm not usually one to read history about anything, but Summerscale did an excellent just tying together a murder mystery, the trials of a great detective of the time, and the development of the social society's obsession with detectives/crime solvers. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good read, as long as they can handle a little bit of graphic content.
