Rachel de Luca has been blind since the age of twelve. She is thrilled when a cornea transplant restores her sight. But the transplant isn't without drawbacks. Now she is having vivid nightmares. She is seeing brutal murders...from the eyes of the killer.
After his brother's suicide, Detective Mason Brown decided to donate his brother's organs. He also decided to cover up the fact that his brother left a note confessing to twelve murders. When Rachel wants to meet the family of her donor, Mason discovers that Rachel is dreaming about the murders his brother committed, and a new murder that just happened. He also understands that he may not be able to keep his brother's secret. Now there is a race to find the connection between his dead brother, Rachel, and a copycat killer.
This book caught my attention from the first chapter. Rachel is a sarcastic heroine who tells it like it is. Mason is just a normal guy who wants to cover the fact that his brother was a serial killer in order to protect his family, especially his young nephews. I went into this book thinking it was romantic suspense. But I thought the romance in this book is lacking. Maybe it will develop with the next book in the series. If you're going to read this one, think of it as paranormal suspense. My rating: 4 Stars.
