The main character was WAY too annoying for me.
Martha Horgan clearly has some form of Asperger's Syndrome, but this book was set before the condition got the label. The problem here is that the book is all about her, she's the main character, so if she annoys the heck out of you (and just about every single character in the story!), reading it just isn't that enjoyable. One character even kept her phone off the hook, then changed her number just to avoid Martha...and believe me, I felt her pain!
I can't recommend this book to anyone...unless you really enjoy reading about people with advanced Asperger's.
