I found this book to be very useful. It is broken down by wide age-ranges, with the 3-8 range including many wonderful fairytales, folktales, and cross-cultural legends. Although my 9 year old daughter reads at an 8th grade level, she especially loved reading the selections from the 3-8 group as many had complex story lines and stunning illustrations. I plan on keeping my copy of this book until my daughter is either grown or has read every book listed, whichever comes first!
