Book Review of Not Lost Forever: My Story of Survival

Not Lost Forever: My Story of Survival

Talk about thoroughly detailed accounts of a crime and one's upbringing! Wow!
Carmina wrote about the upbringings of each of her parents, how they met, and the situations she remembers as a little toddler. She was nearly killed completely by her father, who brutally killed 7 people and she remembers it though she was only 10 days to her 3rd birthday. She gives detailed accounts of the crime and the reaction of those in her family and her own father over the murders.

More than half of the story talks about everything leading up through her father's imprisonment. The last bit of the story is about what Carmina's life was like once she was adopted by a family that followed a Catholic sect called TFP. She explains how she coped with her memories and how others tried to make her feel about her own family. Her life was/is extremely lonely, hard, and sad! This really was a great book though. I enjoyed this autobiography!
