I wasn't interested in reading about Steele so I skipped the last book and eagerly awaited this one. I am so disappointed. I have a few problems with this book. The first is there was no connection between Eve & Donovan. He was in love with her before she even spoke to him. He started considering Eve and her siblings as his after two days. If someone called me their daughter after knowing them for a few days I'd be very creeped out. The second problem was the phrases that were repeated every few pages. It was irritating to read that Donovan has weakness for women and children but especially children over and over again. Any decent man would be concerned about women and children. It was also irritating to read the words "Eve and Travis and Cammie " over and over. The last problem is the way the author refers to the women of the story as "The Wives". The way she says it makes it sound like they are helpless and brainless and couldn't breathe without the help of a man. I would like to see more strong women in the future KGI books in addition to PJ.
