One of my favorite parts of book group is that it gets me to read books that I would not have read on my own. This is one of them! Who knew you could write a literary version of World War Z/Walking Dead and make it compelling and beautiful? I enjoyed reading this for the language, characters, and world building, wished I could see the comic book art, and had a good discussion with friends about what we would miss most from our world today.
