By this point, all of Salvatore's Drizzt books seem to run together in my mind, and this one adds, in a rather enjoyable way, to that long stream of story.
The book is a classic first-in-trilogy story, with big battles and lots of action to keep us interested, as well as new threads with other characters sure to play larger roles in the next few books.
I'm especially intrigued by the dwarves of Mirabar subplot, and how the short-sightedness of the human rules there drives the long-lived dwarves to drastic steps. It'll be very interesting to see how this plays out over the next few novels.
