Enjoyable, if somewhat long, story about a 33-year old single woman who still lives with her grandmother, works in the family business (making custom made wedding shoes) and waiting for her life to get better. This is a book where it would definitely be better to listen to the abridged version - Trigiani goes on and on about every little detail and it can get somewhat repetitious.

I was disappointed in the rushed ending - but I didn't know at the time that it was part of a trilogy. I do want to see what happens to Valentine so I will read or listen to the next book in the series.
