Grace Prescott is 25, very shy and introverted, and very pregnant. 29 year old Ethan James, who's been around the block several times, gets something in the mail that 'shows' him he might be a daddy.

When Ethan gets back to Heartbreak Canyon, he ends up spending his time helping Grace refurnish her home. Neither one feels very good about themselves and both have been looking for love and family. Ethan proposes marriage for the child's sake, but can Grace trust him not to just up and leave?
