This was a pretty good one in the series. Although, I don't know why everyone keeps asking Theodosia for help with mysteries. She has NEVER really solved one. The murderer is always the person that is not part of her suspect list, the one she never suspects, and the one who surprises her by trying to kill her. This is making the books really unrealistic and predictable.
I knew who did it in chapter 2, and I figured out the "sub mystery" by chapter 3. Laura Childs is very predictable - as I said, when Theodosia has a list of suspects, it's guaranteed that none of them did it. The person who did do it is ALWAYS the one about which there is the least written, who only appears occasionally, and who is never a suspect.
I read this series because I like the characters, and I like to see what goes on in their lives. As far as I'm concerned, the mystery can be completely eliminated as it's not very well done.
