This is a most unusual book, as it is told from the point of view of a dog. It isnt silly or whimsical like one might think, but a very wise and interesting book. Im not a fan of automobile racing but even that became interesting, through the eyes of Enzo. It is indeed heart-wrenching at times, but is so beautifully written that the joy of reading it is worth any pain the reader might experience. Theological differences aside, I truly loved this book. I started reading it when I received the hardback through PBS, and immediately knew I wouldnt want to put it down, so I ordered it on my Kindle. (I cant read hardbacks in bed, where I do most of my reading, do to arthritis) I am not a fast reader, but I read this in less than four nights of bedtime reading. This one is a keeper. I highly recommend it, whether you are a dog or racing lover or not.
