Spectacular! Half human, half dark elf, Nyx Ciar is human by day while she is a paranormal investigator and a blue-haired, purple-skinned elf by night where she works as a Night Tracker. In this installment, she gets a client through her PI agency and the case transfers to the Night Trackers. Alpha werewolf Dimitri Beketov brings the case of his missing and/or murdered weres to her attention and Nyx brings the information to Rodan, her Night Tracker boss who gets a whole team together to investigate. Her team consists of Ice, a wolf-shifter, Angel, a squirrel shifter, Joshua, a shadow shifter and Olivia DeSantos, human and her PI partner. Off they go to the Catskills mountains to hunt for the missing weres.

Dr. Johnson, a human scientist who is God's assassin of paranorms is kidnapping and experimenting on weres to find a way to exterminate the entire race of paranorms. He is crazy as a loon and sadistic as hell. All hell breaks loose, when he kidnaps Nyx and Olivia.

I really liked the way the different paranormals work together to defend each other from humans. The Night Trackers are just one part of the equation. There are also Peacekeepers, Gatekeepers, Soothsayers and Healers. And somehow they all work together towards a common goal...well usually with a lot of snark and fighting. But hey with all these alphas working together, it really is amazing that they can get anything done.
