Since I like Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, a friend recommended the Sazi books to me. Clamp and Adams have a somewhat different take on the whole idea of werewolves and werewolf society. Guess I'll have to go back and start the series from the beginning. Pretty good!

From back cover: Cara Salinas, the new Sheriff of Tedford County, Texas, has led her small pack of Mexican red wolves since she was thirteen.
Adam Mueller, a beat cop from Minneapolis, violated the Sazi's single greatest rulehe allowed humans to see their kind, and must now lead his exiled timber wolves to start a new life with Cara's pack.
From the moment that they met, Cara and Adam knew that they would either be fated mates or deadliest of enemies. But there is no time for feuding or romance--because a flock of vicious Sazi raptors had begun to feedon human flesh. Can Cara and Adam embrace their future together and save their people, or will they begin a war that could destroy them all?
