One of my top five books of 2020.
This is a nonfiction book about a young woman and her work in a crematory. This book not only shares the life of that type of work, but it also gives a history of how different cultures attend to their dead. In addition to this broad history and the woman's personal stories, its true value comes from also challenging you to reflect on your own life and what matters most before it is too late.
