This story was a surprise! On the surface, it is about a best-selling novelist widower and his sassy young assistant who brings him out of his 6-years of grief over the lose of his beloved wife. However, it is much more complex than that...add in his poor upbringing and her "kidnapped" childhood...a quiet, little, cursed town...visions and an "invisible person" and a haunted "devil story" in the mix. A fasinating story that makes you want to hear it straight through so you know what exactly is happening! This is not the typical love story!

As for the audio...every other chapter is in a different point of view...hero then heroine...cute to see the man vs. woman's perception! An enjoyable listen!
