This is a horribly shocking account of one woman's life and miraculous survival of an honor killing. It is so sad and quite frankly unbelievable that this kind of thing still goes on in this world, but it does. The saddest part is that the women living under these conditions have no clue that life does not have to be that way. It is truly all they know. To them this is normal and acceptable.

I would not recommend this book for anyone with a weak stomach or for young teens who may not be able to handle the harsh realities of these factual events, but I highly recomend this book to all others. It is a real eye opener.
