Worse than dead...

Rose was one of the city's free people-the lonely, occasionally beautiful ones on the edges of society. She made drawings of tourists and lived on tips. Zane had taken her into his heart, and now Rose was making him a believer in the power of love.

That belief died the night he found her body on the beach.
