I've read all but the last Hathaway book, but this one is still my favorite. The heroine is a great character, stubborn in the best way - trying to keep her family together and safe. She's kind of motherly and sisterly at the same time, and I would love to be friends with her. The hero is both lovable and likable. He is resistant at first to the idea of settling down, but once he knows he loves her and decides what he wants, he is willing to wait until she is ready to make the same commitment to him. He is a calming influence in a crisis. Their relationship develops naturally, though somewhat unconventionally. I loved the book, and I highly recommend it.
