The chapters of this book are divided between Cal in the present and Niko eleven years in the past. We learn quite a bit more about the dynamics that shaped these two warriors.
We also find that Robin has known Cal and Niko longer than their meeting in New York at Robin's used car lot.
Cal's snarky attitude and dangerous actions push Nik beyond his limit. He doesn't want to accept what Cal is becoming.
The end is what I expected, but I'm not ready to let these fascinating and deadly characters go.
