All the Ways We Said Goodbye

I think this was my fave so far that this trio of writers has written together. Very good book set in three time periods in France: WWI, WWII, and 1965. All centered around the Ritz. Made me want to travel to Paris and have a drink at the bar at the Ritz :) Strong female characters: Arielle, the daughter of a French count (comte) whose mother leads famous salons from her apartment at the Ritz and Arielle protects her family village during the war helping to smuggle food to the villagers while also falling in love with one of their German captors, a good man; Daisy, Arielle and Max's daughter, who is raised by her grandmother at the Ritz and is influential in the French Resistance during WWII; and Babs Langford, a British woman who comes to Paris in 1965 to investigate her late husband's time fighting in France in WWII. Their stories all intertwine. Very well written and good stories of the Resistance and the history of La Fleur.
