If you're curious about a reporter's life while covering a war, this book will answer most of your questions. Anne comes across as intelligent, resourceful, and caring about the people she works with (both other reporters and locals). She covers events leading up to the war, during the war and after the war, providing an interesting, ever-changing view of the Iraqi people she encounters. Her husband's newsletter to friends provides a light-hearted look at their relationship and fills in a few holes in time (primarily when Anne is back in the U.S.) that the author doesn't cover.
