Disappointingly, I'm not able to recommend this story. I'm usually not overly bothered by adverbs, but, sadly, when one is confronted by their annoyingly frequent use, one starts to hesitantly but determinedly look for them. When combined, botheringly so, with another writing no-no, I was barely able to read the first thirty pages before having to stop, abruptly, in order to safeguard my sanity.
